Cookie policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains what cookies quantmhill.com sets, what they do, and how to control them. It supplements our privacy policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

What we set

Nothing until you say yes. The site is statically generated and works fully without cookies. The only cookies we ever set come from Google Analytics, described below, and they load only after you click Accept on the banner shown on your first visit.

Analytics

If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets a first-party cookie (typically named _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visits and measure which pages get used. It tells us things like which service pages get read and where people drop off. Google processes this data as described in Google’s privacy policy. The only personal data the site itself processes directly is what you choose to submit through the contact form, which our privacy policy covers.

If you decline, or don’t choose, nothing loads — no Analytics script, no cookie, no request to Google at all.

Managing your preferences

  • Change your mind anytime with the Cookie preferences link in the footer — it reopens the banner so you can accept or decline again.
  • We treat a browser or extension sending a Global Privacy Control signal as a refusal automatically — the banner won’t even ask.
  • Your browser can also block or delete cookies for any site — the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge explain how.

Declining or blocking cookies doesn’t change how the site works — every page functions without them.

Changes and contact

If our tooling changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Questions about cookies or your data go to hello@quantmhill.com.
