GraphQL Federation & Apollo Client engineering

We architect federated GraphQL layers that unify distributed microservices into a single, type-safe supergraph.

Core capabilities

Why we build with GraphQL & Apollo

01

Apollo Federation v2

Decoupling domain schemas into autonomous subgraphs unified by a high-throughput Rust Apollo Router.

02

Query complexity & rate limiting

Protecting backend databases with static query depth calculation and token bucket limiters.

03

Normalized client caching

Optimistic updates and automatic UI cache synchronization across complex graph relationships.

Use cases

Where GraphQL & Apollo fits

Unified enterprise data layers

Bridging legacy SOAP, REST and SQL backends into one client schema.

Multi-client APIs for mobile and web

Letting mobile and web clients query exactly the fields they need, which saves mobile bandwidth.

How we staff it

GraphQL & Apollo engineers you interview first

Seniority and experience are agreed in the proposal, and you interview every engineer before they start.

Working-hours overlap is agreed for each engagement and written into the statement of work — the shared window, who shifts hours, and how handoffs work outside it.

Technical FAQs

Frequently asked engineering questions

We use DataLoader batching and projection optimization to bundle database requests into single WHERE IN queries.

Not inherently. GraphQL can cut round trips by letting a client fetch nested resources in one request and ask only for the fields it needs; a well-designed REST API with good caching can be just as fast.
